With the significant reduction in funding for 60+ free swimming, Celtic Leisure have to focus the new provision as per Welsh Government instruction. Therefore, free swimming will still be offered to all 60+ residents living within the most deprived areas in NPTCC. There are 12 areas across NPTCC that fall within the top 10% across Wales.
60+ residents living within these 12 areas will be entitled to Free Swimming during all public sessions across Celtic pools. Residents will have to provide ‘proof of address’ along with proof of ID to receive this entitlement. Ask at reception to check if your postcode falls within one of these areas. Also, all NPTCC residents in receipt of Pension Credit will be entitled to Free Swimming during all public sessions across Celtic pools. Residents must provide ‘proof of pension credit entitlement’ and ‘proof of address’
1 free session per week per Celtic pool will be available for all 60+ users.

A subsidised offer will be available for 60+ users that are not in receipt of pension credit or do not reside in one of the most deprived areas.
Options available include:
£2 per swim available as a block of 10 swim card for early morning users at Neath, Pontardawe & Glynneath @ £22
A monthly public swim only direct debit option is available for frequent users @ £21 per month (only available for 60+ users)
6 month public swim only membership @ £126 (only available for 60+ users)
12 month public swim only membership @ £231 (12 months for the price of 11, only available for 60+ users)
There is no stipulation to offer 60+ structured sessions but Celtic have a number of 60+ structured sessions running each week which we would like to try and continue to support via the new subsidised offer.
There will be a £1 per person fee for the 60+ structured activities currently offered to ensure Celtic can afford to continue to provide these activities for the community.
